"I don't have style, but I make up for it in hands."
Most of this information is now irrelevant, but the basic concepts still apply. I will update when it becomes necessary again.
Adding the BSMC server
  1. First, make sure you are running the latest version of Minecraft
  2. Next, start your game and select Multiplayer
  3. On the Multiplayer screen, click Add Server
  4. In the Server Name section type Binary Sanctum (or whatever you feel like, really)
  5. In the Server Address section type in
  6. Click Done

Edit Profile to 1.12.2
(works for other versions as well)
  1. Start your Minecraft Launcher
  2. Don't hit Play yet!
  3. Near the top of the launcher under the big "Minecraft" click on Launch Options
  4. Click on + Add new
  5. In the Name section type BSMC 1.12.2
  6. In the version dropdown menu select release 1.12.2
  7. Select Save at the bottom
  8. Click News at the top to return to the profile selection
  9. On the right side of the big green "Play" button is a narrower green button with an "up arrow" on it. Click this and in the menu that pops up select the profile you just made (BSMC 1.12.2)
  10. If done correctly you should see your new profile name at the bottom of the green "Play" button
  11. Click Play
Zipping a world save folder
    Windows 7 (8/8.1/10?)
  1. First, you need an archiver. A very popular and free one is 7-Zip
    • Download the appropriate version for your system (not a huge deal if you get the wrong one, your computer's heart will go ooooon)
    • It shouldn't take long to install and may require a restart
    • After you finish, find a folder (any folder) and right-click on it. One of the options should be 7-Zip
    • If so, ta-da! Move on to the next step
  2. After the installation, you need to find your saves folder. This is usually found in your appdata/.minecraft folder on Windows7 (Windows8/8.1/10 as well?)
  3. Open up Computer and click on the nav bar (like an address bar on an interbrowser thing, like the one you used to see this page)
  4. In the nav bar, delete all text that is there and type in %appdata% and press Enter
  5. One of the very first folders you should see is .minecraft - Double click it
  6. Once you've broken into the mainframe you need to navigate to the saves folder
  7. Now that we're all the way in, find the folder with the name of the world you want to Zip up and send off
  8. Left-click ONE TIME to highlight the folder, then right-click to bring up the context menu where you should see 7-Zip
  9. Move your mouse over 7-Zip to bring out the menu and click on Add to ""
  10. Keeping the saves window open, bring up your favoritest e-mail client and compose a sweet message to me, Zodopop (, and attach your file to it. Depending on your internet connection, it can take anywhere from 1-10 minutes (or more if it's a huge file)
  11. Now be a lass (or lad) and send an in-game mail to Zodopop letting me know you've sent the file and what job it's for (even if it's obvious)
